RAP secures supply chain shortlisting in UK Packaging Awards 2014

We pride ourselves on being market leaders in value added innovation. That’s why we’re delighted to have been named among the finalists in one of the major events in the packaging industry’s calendar, the UK Packaging Awards.

We’re constantly combining technical, creative and commercial expertise to design and manufacture revolutionary food packaging used by major brands, including Pret a Manger, Waitrose, Tesco, Marks & Spencer and Sainsburys.

Being shortlisted in the Supply Chain Solution of the Year category for HotRap is testimony to our on-going commitment to deliver truly pioneering products.

AirRap takes hot food-to-go from manufacture, to oven, display, and finally to the consumer, using a single piece of packaging. It enables added value to be achieved across the supply chain in a number of ways, including:

  • Even longer shelf life and reduced food waste – thanks to both hermetically sealed and modified atmosphere options being available – as there are fewer steps in the supply process and less physical infrastructure to manage
  • Reduced turnaround times – as there are fewer steps in the supply process and less physical infrastructure to manage
  • Improved production costs and reduced turnaround times – because the packaging offers an all-in-one supply chain solution

We’re looking forward to attending the final of this year’s awards in London in November and are extremely proud to have been highlighted as one of the UK companies that are clearly flying the flag for innovative quality packaging.
