Paola brings her passion for innovation to our tech team

The RAP technical department has gained a huge boost by the appointment of Spanish packaging expert Paola Carceles Moreno.

Paola is a qualified chemical engineer and will be based at our London headquarters where she will have an essential role in new product development, working closely with the production team, suppliers and customers to test new products efficiently and effectively.

During her most recent role at Plasticos Romero, Paola, who studied at the University of Murcia, was responsible for developing new polymer packaging and process improvement.

Paola said: “I’m delighted to bring my passion for innovation and development in packaging materials to RAP. I’m looking forward to expanding my expertise and adding value to the team.”

Commitment to technical talent

Paola’s appointment is a result of our determination to bring top talent to the RAP team so that our packaging continues to transform product performance, reduce packaging costs and extend shelf life. And it is this commitment to remaining at the forefront of development that has spearheaded our award-winning success in 2016.

For example, our MultiRap product won the Consumer Convenience Award at the recent prestigious UK Packaging Awards.

And this follows two other awards for RAP this year … the Unique Packaging Solutions award for the Pret a Manger Open Bread Sandwich Box, in The Café Quality Food Awards, and the sustainability accolade for their Modified Atmosphere (MA) carton packaging at the Food Packaging Association (FPA) Awards.

Graham Williams, Chief Executive of RAP, said: “We welcome Paola to the RAP team. She brings insight and experience of the European foodservice market, and will help us continue to grow in the UK and beyond.”

Founder Julian Money added: “Paola’s skills complement our commitment to technical excellence and our cutting edge design centre which will be of great benefit to our customers.”
