RAP shortlisted for UK Packaging Awards for sixth consecutive year

Three of RAP’s innovative packaging products – AgriRAP, Freshpack Plus Lite and the Modified Atmosphere (MA) Food Tray – have been shortlisted in this year’s UK Packaging Awards.

This marks the sixth consecutive year RAP’s products have been recognised by the event that is organised by PackagingNews.

The categories the products have been shortlisted for are:

  • Best New Concept – AgriRAP and Freshpack Plus Lite
  • Cartonboard Pack of the Year – Modified Atmosphere (MA) Food Tray

The results will be announced on Tuesday 30th October 2018, at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.

Graham Williams, CEO at RAP, said: “We’re delighted our products have been recognised by the UK Packaging Awards, it is testament to the entire team at RAP for maintaining 21 years of true innovation and development.

“The three shortlisted products are all recent developments, created as a direct response to tackle the worldwide plastic pollution crisis, as part of our “Removing Avoidable Plastics” campaign.

“The AgriRAP and Freshpack Plus Lite are sandwich wedges that are fully compostable and widely recyclable, and the Modified Atmosphere (MA) Food Tray offers an alternative to full plastic trays and reduces plastic use by up to 85%.

“We’re looking forward to seeing the results of the award ceremony, and wish all the companies that are shortlisted the best of luck.”
