RAP has been shortlisted for the UK Packaging Awards for the seventh year running.
The shortlisted category is ‘Best Packaging of a New Product’ and is for work completed on the ‘THIS™ Isn’t’ range of plant-based meat alternatives.
It is a further accolade for the already-celebrated Modified Atmosphere carton tray, which was previously shortlisted for Cartonboard Pack of the Year.
Graham Williams, CEO of RAP, said: “Getting recognition from the UK Packaging Awards for the seventh year running is a fantastic achievement for the entire team and shows how well we have developed our culture of continuous innovation.
“We have made key hires in the area of sustainable packaging in recent years and the product shortlisted is a testament to the commitment we’ve made to reducing plastics in the world’s oceans. We all know how critical the global plastic pollution issue is and being able to provide an alternative to full plastic trays is an exceptional achievement we can all be proud of.”
The founder of RAP, Julian Money, said: “Working with THIS™ and their range of meat-free alternatives was the perfect fit for us and we look forward to seeing the results of the award ceremony. Good luck to all of the other shortlisted companies.”
The results will be announced on Thursday 7th November 2019, at the Grosvenor House, London.
